| H2O: The Source Kits
The
Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) partnered with Clark County School
District (CCSD) teachers and administrators to develop teaching aids to
help educate children about water. The material is linked closely with
CCSD curricula and Nevada State Standards.
H2O: The Source Water Resource
Kits are comprised of lessons that meet required criteria in the
areas of science, social studies, language arts and math. The resource
kits include:
- A teacher's guide with lesson plans and activities
- Multimedia tools (audio and video tapes)
- Posters
- Collateral materials
There are versions of "H2O: The Source" for
second and third grades, fourth and fifth grades, and middle and high
school classes. To obtain a free resource kit for your classroom, you
must attend a session of the Water Education
Institute, which is offered once each year for elementary teachers
and once per year for secondary teachers.
