Desert Discovery

Desert Discovery is a four-color newspaper published three times a year in two versions:

Kindergarten through second grade	Third through fifth grade

It's filled with articles and pictures about desert conservation, with an emphasis on the plants, animals and water resources found in Southern Nevada. Spanish versions also are available.

The newspapers are distributed free of charge to local public and private elementary schools. Almost 200 schools use the paper. Desert Discovery is accompanied by a teacher's edition that provides additional background information, ideas and activities to expand on the articles.

Desert Discovery is distributed to entire schools; it cannot be sent to individual classrooms. If you are not receiving Desert Discovery and would like to add your school to the list, just use our Request Form (Please obtain permission for your entire school before submitting the form).
