Antelope ground squirrel

Antelope ground squirrel

The antelope ground squirrel survives the desert heat by living underground in burrows.

When venturing out of its burrow for food or water, the antelope ground squirrel uses its large, white tail as a sunshade to keep a bit cooler in the desert sun.
